After graduating from Brown University with a degree in American Studies, Nick Albertson taught history for five years at Jacksonville Episcopal High School in Jacksonville, FL, before joining the Deerfield faculty in 1978 as a member of the History Department. He has served as a college advisor for 32 years, and earned an MA in Liberal Studies from Dartmouth in 1984. Nick's three daughters are proud graduates of Deerfield, and he cross-country skis and plays paddle tennis with them at every opportunity.
Nick also coaches golf and football. He coached Deerfield’s golf team to its first undefeated season in 2005 and again in 2006. The group posted an 11-0-1 record over the course of the spring and won the Kingswood-Oxford Tournament at season's end. In 2000, the squad also won that tournament.
