Lydia Hemphill graduated from Amherst College with a BA in 1991, and received an MA in art history from Williams College in 1995. She worked in the Development Office at St. George's School in Newport, RI from 1991-1993, and came to Deerfield in the fall of 1995 to teach AP art history and photography. She currently teaches AP art history and works in the Academic Dean's Office as the Director of Studies. She lives in Abercrombie House.
