Andrea Moorhead was born in Buffalo, New York in 1947. She began teaching Latin at Deerfield in 1977 while she and her husband Robert were living in Scaife Dormitory. Andrea continues to pursue an active writing career and publishes poetry and prose in both French and English. The Deerfield Academy Press, founded in 1997 with Eric Widmer, provides an opportunity for her to combine her two loves, working with students and writing.
