AP Exam Room Locations and Start Times

AP exams cannot be added at this time. See/email Mrs. Thiel with any questions or to cancel your test. (note: you will still be charged an unused test fee of $13)

NOTE: Please bring #2 pencils (no mechanicals), pens (black or blue), ID, please arrive 1/2 hour before start time for check-in!

(All check-ins are in the West Gym unless otherwise noted in the chart below).

Hello Everyone, This is Mr. Savage writing to remind you all that I am serving as Deerfield’s SYA coordinator this year. Please be in touch if you have any interest in learning more about the SYA experience or applying for the upcoming year. Halloween Coffeehouse!

Albany Road has a Halloween-themed coffeehouse coming up!! Everybody is welcome, and if you would like to participate, whether musically or literarily, email swoolf@deerfield.edu. The coffeehouse will be in Ephraim Williams Tuesday, October 25th right after sitdown. There will be cider, cocoa, and “halloween cookies.”

Cambiando Vidas

Jose Abreu, director of Cambiando Vidas, a housebuilding project in the Dominican Republic, will be on campus this Sunday, October 2, from 2-3. Come to the Garonzik to find out more about the opportunity to build Deerfield’s 4th house in the DR June 9-16, 2012. Of course, Jose can’t wait to see all CV alums as well! Students, faculty and staff are all cordially invited. If you would like to attend, please contact Mrs. Cabral (scabral@deerfield.edu) by noon on Saturday so she can know how many fried plantains to prepare.

Round Square Photo Contest & Exhibition

Calling all photographers! If you have photographs of your activities or travels over the summer, this is the perfect chance to submit them to the Round Square Photo Contest. Photographs will need to be printed onto 8×10 photo paper and put in the entry box in the college advising office before the deadline, October 4th. These photos will be judged by teachers and students and some of them will be chosen to be exhibited in the Hilson Gallery of the Memorial Building as well as win awards. Each person may only submit three photographs. Here is one of the award-winning photos from last year’s contest.

Peer Tutoring Informational Meeting

This Thursday, 9/15 at 11:00am in the Memorial Building Lobby there will be an informational meeting about how to become a peer tutor and how you can take on leadership roles within the peer tutoring program. DASAC Finishes Its 21st Year!

Deerfield Academy Summer Arts Camp (DASAC) has just completed its 21st year at DA. Begun by DA graduates in 1991, DASAC continues its tradition as the largest summer arts camp in the Pioneer Valley. The Academy’s continued support for the arts-in-education and connection to local communities has made DASAC an area phenomenon for young emerging artists. Congratulations to all campers and staff on another beautiful summer!
