Reconnecting in Class of ’85

New position

Rev. Robert Ives ’65 was recently appointed to the newly created position of Director of Religious and Spiritual Life at his alma mater Bowdoin College, effective Jan. 2013. He retired in June 2012 as founding director of the Carpenter’s Boat Shop after 33 years.

’64 Update

Lowell Davis ’64 has transitioned from a teacher/coach/athletic director at the Landon School in Bethesda, MD to working with alumni. Lowell and Nancy Davis are expecting to be grandparents for the first time in March 2013 when their daughter, Laura, is due. Lowell has completed 45 years in education. Thomas George ’36 Artists Fund

Thomas George ’36 has set up the Thomas George Artists Fund thrugh the Princeton Area Community Foundation. This award helps to nurture young artists at the outset of their careers. Longtime Soccer Coach Honored

Pat Gillespie ’64, who coached high school soccer from 1970 to 2005 and was instrumental in the creation of both the Greater Cleveland and Ohio Scholastic Soccer Coaches Associations, was honored by a dedication of “The John Honeyman-Pat Gillespie Soccer Fields at Linden Park” on Aug. 4, 2012. Millie and I had a serendipitous encounter with Adam (Dan) Sokoloski ’57 and his lovely wife, Susan, as we both cruised the inter-coastal waterway in South Florida on January 24, 2013.
