Deerfield competes in Western New England Division I, one of the strongest leagues in the country. We begin each season with a preseason trip to Florida during the March vacation, where the team's identity is forged, and we benefit from scrimmages with quality opponents.
Many Deerfield players go on to succeed in the NCAA. Deerfield has produced numerous college captains and All-Americans in Division I & III.
From the first practice "under the lights" in March to the final whistle in May, Deerfield teams play with passion and sportsmanship and strive to honor the game. This experience produces lasting friendships.
Varsity Lacrosse is coached by Chip Davis and Kip Dooley.

At Bowdoin College, Chip earned All-New England honors in lacrosse, was a four-year starter for the football team, and served as captain of both teams in his senior year. He serves as an assistant coach with the football team's defensive unit in the fall. Chip is also the Director of Athletics and a member of the Academy’s History Department. He lives in Whiting House with his wife Beth and their three sons, Bradley, Brian, and Zachary.
