Deerfield girls crew is comprised of 30 energetic rowers and coxswains. Our four Varsity crews row Fours, while our Novice crew (fifth/sixth boat) rows eights. During our season, we race against some of the fastest rowing teams in New England, including Winsor, Miss Porter's, BB&N, and Choate.
We practice and compete on the Connecticut River, tens minutes from campus. In the spring of 2004, we moved into our brand new boathouse, which houses our racing shells, workout rooms, and rowing ergometers.
Our team has traditionally had success through the season and at the NEIRA Regatta (New England Championships). Our alumnae have gone on to compete at colleges around the US, including Harvard/Radcliffe, Brown, Yale, Princeton, University of Michigan, Penn, Cal/Berkeley, US Coast Guard Academy, and others.
Our team prides itself on training hard, racing competitively, and having a great deal of fun along the way.
