Deerfield has been a perennially strong team in the Western New England Prep School Soccer Association (WNEPSSA), a league of nearly 50 schools. We take a great deal of pride in how well we play, but we also stress good sportsmanship and positive team spirit. We also are lucky to play in one of the most picturesque settings in all of interscholastic soccer. Â It is hard to imagine a more beautiful setting than Deerfield on a clear, brisk October afternoon.
Deerfield fields four competitive boys soccer teams, ranging from a freshman-sophomore team for beginning players to the varsity boys team. The level of play on the varsity would challenge the best high school player. We play against several college junior varsity teams; as a member of WNEPSSA we play against league members such as Choate Rosemary Hall, Loomis Chaffee, Hotchkiss, Taft, and Northfield Mount Hermon. Recent graduates of Deerfield are now playing soccer at many NCAA programs.
