Wireless Projection – Kendall

Wireless projection availability is based on the device and operating system you are currently using.  Please scroll down to the device you are currently using for detailed instructions.

MacBook Air w/Mac OS X 10.8.x (Mountain Lion)

  • The MacBook Air must be connected GreenDoor
  • Press Source on the projector remote.  When HDMI displays in the corner of the image, move on to the next step
  • Click on the AirPlay icon in the menu bar at the top of the screen (looks like a rectangle with a solid black triangle sticking into the bottom).
  • Select the Apple TV being used (all Apple TV’s are named by room)
  • The desktop image should now be projected.
  • When done, be sure to disconnect from the Apple TV so the next person in the room can connect.
    • Select the AirPlay icon 
    • Select Turn Mirroring Off
    • Press Off on projector remote

MacBook Air w/Mac OS X 10.7.x (Lion) OR MacBook (White)
AirParrot is required for wireless projection.  Please come to ITS Help Desk to have this installed.

  • The MacBook must be connected to GreenDoor
  • Press Source on the projector remote.  When HDMI displayes in the corner of the image, move on to the next step.
  • Run AirParrot by double clicking on the icon in the Applications folder
  • Click on the AirParrot icon in the menu bar at the top of the screen
  • Select the Apple TV being used (all Apple TV’s are named by room)
  • The desktop image should now be projected
  • When done, be sure to disconnect from the Apple TV so the next person in the room can connect.
    • Select the AirParrot icon 
    • Select Turn Mirroring Off
    • Press Off on projector remote
