Wired Laptop Projection – Kendall

  • Press Power button on projector remote to turn on projector.
  • Connect one end of HDMI cable to HDMI port on black box at the base of the white board.  Plug other end of HDMI cable into video adapter and video adapter into MacBook.
    • Alternative Connection – VGA
      • Connect shorter end of VGA/Audio cable (audio cable is noticeably shorter) into VGA and Audio ports on black box at base of white board.  Plug other end of VGA cable into video adapter and video adapter into MacBook.  Plug other end of audio cable into MacBook.
      • When using this alternate projection method, press Source to prompt projector to switch inputs.
  • If using interactive features of projector, connect USB cable.  Plug squarish end into USB port on black box at base of white board.  Plug other end into  USB port on MacBook.
  • When done:
    • Unplug cable(s) from MacBook.
    • Press Power button on projector remote.

Important Note – When using HDMI for first time, follow these instructions to update MacBook audio settings:

  • While connected to projector, click on Apple menu and select System Preferences
  • Select Sound
  • Select Output tab
  • From displayed list, select Epson Projector Audio (Type will read HDMI)
  • Close Sound window
  • MacBook will remember this setting
