Wired Laptop Projection – Garonzik

If touch panel is dark:

  • Press touch panel to wake it up
  • Press Turn System On
  • Press Make sure windows are closed before selecting a source

If touch panel is lit up:

  • Press Podium and select one of the options below:
  • HDMI Connection (preferred option)
    • Press HDMI
      • If touch panel was dark, this will turn on projector, trigger screen and shades to drop, and set input to HDMI.
      • If touch panel was lit up, this will change input to HDMI.
    • At podium, connect HDMI cable to the MacBook.  The adapter with an orange dot is for use with all DA issued MacBooks.
    • Volume is controlled from the touch panel Main Volume slider.  Additional volume control is through application being used.
    • When done:
    • Disconnect HDMI cable from MacBook
    • Press Power Off on touch panel
    • Press Turn Off Projector to turn off projector and to trigger screen and shades to retract
    • NOTE: The first time using the HDMI connection a change will need to be made to the MacBook audio settings.  This will only need to do once.  Follow these steps while connected to HDMI cable:
      • Click on Apple menu and select System Preferences
      • Select Sound
      • Select Output tab
      • Select Crestron (Type will read HDMI) from displayed list under Select a device for sound output:
      • Close Sound window
      • The MacBook will remember this setting for the next time
  • VGA Connection
    • Press VGA
      • If touch panel was dark, this will turn on projector, trigger screen and shades to drop, and set input to VGA.
      • If touch panel was lit up, this will change input to VGA.
    • At podium, connect VGA cable to video adapter and video adapter to MacBook.  Plug audio cable into audio port on MacBook.  If cables are not on top of podium, look in drawer on left side of podium.
    • Volume is controlled from touch panel Main Volume slider.  Additional volume control is through application being used.
    • When done:
      • Disconnect VGA and audio cables and return to drawer on left side of podium
      • Press Power Off on touch panel
      • Press Turn Off Projector to turn off projector and trigger screen and shades to retract
