We Have a Winner!

Congratulations to Kyle Wellner, winner of our February Library Question of the Month!

The Question: To raise awareness of the many contributions of African Americans to history, scholar Carter Godwin Woodson launched Negro History Week during the second week of February in 1926. (This event became an annual celebration and was expanded to the entire month of February in 1950.)  What is the significance of the second week of February?

The Answer: The second week of February marks the birthdays of Frederick Douglass and Abraham Lincoln.

We received 3 correct answers and selected our winner by lottery.  Thank you to everyone who participated in our contest.
