Reporting to the Director of Information Technology, the Instructional Technology Coordinator for the Humanities will provide leadership, assistance and mentoring in the implementation and integration of technology in support of the Academy’s teaching and learning, with focus primarily on support within the humanities disciplines.
This position is one of two IT staff members whose primary responsibilities include providing support to teaching faculty in their use of technology in and out of the classroom; ensuring the success of the faculty laptop and iPad programs and effective use of the institutional learning management system, Moodle; developing resources in support of classroom technology including digital video/audio support, a variety of instructional applications and tools including interactive projectors; designing and delivering faculty technology training and documentation.
The successful candidate will possess: a Bachelor’s Degree (advanced degree desirable) and three to five years of experience providing effective technology support in an academic environment, with classroom teaching experience preferred; extensive experience working in the Mac OS environment and iPad experience desirable; working knowledge of learning management systems such as Moodle; excellent interpersonal and communication skills with strong initiative and resourcefulness; and the interest and enthusiasm to aggressively pursue knowledge and new skills relevant to educational technology.
