Diamond Hicks ’99 sworn in to California Bar

Judge Victor Wright, class of ’84, swore in Diamond Hicks, class of ’99, to the California Bar. They were joined by Diamond’s mom Sauda Johnson. Diamond had a small private ceremony in his courtroom in Inglewood, California.

Nancy Fuentes graduates in May from Southern Methodist University with a B.A. in Anthropology. After graduation, she will work in Dallas and take prerequisites for a nursing post-bac program.

New Arrival!

Trevor Byrne, ’99 and his wife, Hannah welcomed their second child on December 15th. Ainsley Sara Byrne weighed 8lbs 4ounces and was 20.5 inches long. She is adored by her older brother, Declan (16 months) and the entire family is doing great.

News from 1948

Peter Bien ’48 published a new book of poetic translations from the Greek. The author is Stylianos Harkianakis, Greek-Orthodox Archbishop of Australia; the title is “Of Children and Adolescents.” The edition is bilingual, with Greek and English on facing pages.
