Season of Giving

During this holiday season on campus, two community service projects are going on:

A drive for the literacy project is an effort to collect school supplies to benefit people who are taking classes in Greenfield. It is necessary that our community takes part in helping those who don’t have the means to have the basic fundamentals that we sometimes take for granted. It will help them obtain their GED, which opens a door to new job opportunities.

In the Hitchcock House you can drop items in a box next the register. Desired items would be pencils, pens, notebooks, binder, etc. Boxes will also be available where the clothing drive boxes were previously. The drive will end December 15.

The second project is called The Giving Tree. This project is trying to provide holiday gifts for homeless children in Greenfield, who would not otherwise have a holiday. You can donate by taking a tag off of the Christmas tree in the Dining Hall and replacing it with a present underneath the Christmas tree or by monetary donation. We also will need volunteers to wrap the presents, to make Christmas cards to give to the families, and also to help deliver these gifts. These projects will have real and lasting effects. You can give monetary donations at all walk through dinners this week by Greer card or cash.

Happy Holidays to all!
