Deerfield Model UN Delegation Has Strong Showing at Andover

This past weekend five sophomores traveled with Mr. Taft to Andover to compete in the first annual Phillips Academy Invitational Model United Nations conference. Representing the United States in a committee on nuclear proliferation, Austin Parenteau ’15 won the Outstanding Delegate award. Gene Thagard ’15 and Maddie Nelson ’15 each secured verbal commendations for their work, while Chase Leisenring ’15 and Nahla Achi ’15 harnessed their speaking and debating skills. Deerfield looks forward to becoming a regular at this new conference in the years to come. Congratulations to all five delegates on a job well done!
