Community Service at a Local Nursery School!

The Old Deerfield Nursery School would love to have DA students volunteer during the day to spend time with the children! The Community Service Board has coordinated this opportunity for students to volunteer during free periods and faculty break.

  • Who can do this: You!
  • When: 8:30am – 12:45pm Mondays through Fridays (during your free periods and faculty break on Thursdays)
  • Where: Old Deerfield Nursery School—in the basement of the white church on the corner of Main St and Memorial St. The entrance to the school is by the handicapped ramp into the “side” building, not the main church. (Address: 16 Memorial Street)
  • How far: Just 3 minutes walking distance from the Armes Building
  • What will you do: Help with set up, lead small reading groups, play in small groups on the floor, play outdoor games, supervise classroom activities, etc.

This is a great way to volunteer during your free periods, spend time with children, have fun, and serve the community! If you have any questions, please email Tara Murty at tmurty@deerfield.edu
