Congratulations to Deerfield’s first Junior World Medalist, Claire Collins, who won a silver rowing in the 8+ in Bulgaria this month. Rich Caputo placed 5th in the 8+, and Brad Plunkett 9th in the 4+. USA was fourth of 57 countries in the medal count. Brad, Rich, and Claire are the first Deerfield Rowers to make the Junior National Team since 1997, when Blythe Daly ’97 and Carolyn Goltra ’98 set the standard; however, Claire is Deerfield’s first medalist. Go green!
