Reporting to the Campus Stores Manager, the Campus Stores Retail Assistant will provide sales, inventory and merchandise support and assistance in the campus stores.
Primary responsibilities include staffing the campus stores during open hours to provide customer services and support; handling return orders to the satisfaction of the customer and in keeping with proper inventory and accounting procedures; keeping merchandise neat and clean, folding and restocking shelves, racks and drawers as necessary; assisting with planning and implementation to ensure success of special events; coordinating merchandise ordering to provide on time and sufficient inventory for regular sales and special events; co-managing inventory levels, displays, stock and physical counts to ensure proper inventory, management and accountability.
The successful candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent; 2+ years of retail experience; ability to interact effectively with students, parents, alumni and employees in a positive and helpful manner; strong communication skills; basic computer skills with interest and ability to enhance those skills; enthusiasm for change and the provision of innovative service.
This is an academic year position that works approximately 35 hours per week. Evening and weekend shifts required.
