I took my stage documentary “Crawling with Monsters” to the New York International Fringe Festival last year where it won an “Overall Excellence Award.” With the collaboration of theatre artists on both sides of the Texas-Mexico border, the play reveals the deterioration of the traditional way of life inside the grossly under-reported Mexican drug war.
