You’ll never guess who I ran into at a book event I did in Chester County Pennsylvania last night. None other than Horace Means ’84 (officially he’s Rev. Horace Six-Means Ph.D.).
It was so great to see him and he reminded me that we were teammates on the fresh-soph football team sophomore year at DA. I was quarterback and he was I believe a running back – I can’t speak for him but I would say that I was more enthusiastic than actually skilled. Needless to say neither one of us were sought after by college scouts! My book tour for “Growing Up Patton” is leading to many wonderful reconnections with Deerfield friends.
