Jaed Coffin, author and 2009-2010 Wilson Fellow, will be conducting a Meditation Workshop on Sunday, February 19, from 1:00 to 3:00p.m. in the Choral Room. Mr. Coffin is the author of a memoir, A Chant to Soothe Wild Elephants, about his experience as a Buddhist monk in his mother’s native village in Thailand. This spring, he will publish his second book, Roughhouse Friday, about the year he spent as middleweight champion of a barroom boxing show in Juneau, Alaska. Mr. Coffin currently serves on the nonfiction faculty at the University of Southern Maine’s Stonecoast MFA. For more information, visit Mr. Coffin’s website.
