Ken Burns to Speak at School Meeting

Deerfield is excited to welcome filmmaker Ken Burns to campus on Thursday, February 23.

Mr. Burns has directed and produced more than twenty historical documentaries on subjects ranging from prohibition, jazz and baseball to Mark Twain and Frank Lloyd Wright. He has been practicing his trademark style of storytelling for over thirty years now, and his work has won twelve Emmy Awards and two Oscar nominations.

Mr. Burns will do a Q&A session at School Meeting, discussing his documentary series Prohibition and addressing his work–and his thoughts about history–on a broader level.
