For the second year in a row, the Academy’s alumni publication, Deerfield Magazine, received a “Gold” Communication Award from the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) in the 2012 Independent School Publications category. For the first time ever, the Communications Office also entered the “magazines with a circulation of 30,000 or less” category—competing against institutions that included the Rhode Island School of Design and Tufts University—and the Academy was presented with a “Silver” for best writing and a “Bronze” for best overall magazine. In addition, Graphic Design Manager Brent Hale received an Honorable Mention for the design of the Academy’s Imagine Deerfield campaign kickoff invitation.Â
