Deerfield Alumni at U.S. Pond Hockey Championships

James Canner ’02 writes: “Just got back from playing in the U.S. Pond Hockey Championships in Minnesota with my brother Chip (Class of ’00) and Wes Fox (Class of ’99). Tremendous annual event that features 250 teams from around the world with all games played on one lake.”

Dick Stuart ’61 writes: “Had a great family trip to hike in Majorca in Nov. with the Adirondak Mountain Club and Yellowstone Park over New Years with wolves, bison, elk etc. Amazing. Now back to teaching adaptive skiing, counseling, etc in NH. Come see us.”

New Baby

Michael Aroesty ’99 writes: “Lindsay and I would like to announce the birth of our first child. Jacoby “Jake” William Aroesty was born on January 16th. He is a happy and healthy little guy. We hope to see him manning the blue line at Deerfield in 16 or 17 years.”

Elijah joins as the first Kaldis born in 46 years

Guy Kaldis ’54 writes, “Elijah Jerald Kaldis came into the world 8 months ago and is a delight. He smiles all the time and my eldest son, his daddy at 51, is very involved in every aspect of his day. Eli is the 4th grandchild in my family.”

There will be a dance on Saturday at 9:00 p.m. in the Greer sponsored by the Native American Cultural Alliance (NACA). Honoring the Mohawk Warrior Society, the theme of the dance will be WARRIORS.
