Tim Trelease opens an exhibit of new work in Holyoke’s
Paper City Studios this Friday. The group show will include fourteen new paintings, constructions, and photographs, along with a large-scale installation as part of a group show. The theme of the exhibit is centered around books, as artifacts, with a special interest in the history of Holyoke as the center of the paper-making industry. Trelease’s work, in the context of this post-industrial exhibition space, offers a reflection on the ghosts of things past with an alchemical attempt at resurrection.
